Project :
Soul of Kaeru is a metroidvania-like game with a dazzling and colorful VR world.
You takes place in a world filled with tiny creatures and inspired by the feudal Nippon era.
Make your journey through different biomes slashing enemies from different clans, grant new fighting styles, master your enemy’s combat patterns or… die!
My work :
I was responsible for creating visual designs related to our lore.
Vincent (Co-Author) was more involved in Game Design, 3D supervision, Unreal Developper and combat feel.
Also Thanks to the interns who helped us on this project (Dev & 3D).
A Selection of my concepts
Level Design :
I worked on designing the prototype level in Miro to establish the tutorial at the beginning of the game, as well as the progression of discovering various items to ensure smooth player progression.
Characters Design :
As well as providing creative input on the characters designed by Adrien Gault, Yann De Preval & Marc Bouyer.
